On a different note, Ghostbusters Frozen Empire felt weirdly stunted to me - like it wanted to be (for example) a queer teen drama but someone along the production pipeline got cold feet, neutering the whole thing.
I'm also a Doctor Who fan, and the modern version of the show gets called "Woke" all the time. There were a number of episodes in the early 1970s that dealt with pollution, climate change, and ecology-- it's always been that way!
Can you imagine all the 'Godzilla has gone woke!' nonsense if they released that today? Over 50 years later and we're still polluting and burning the planet. Now that's real horror!
