I think the actual sexual violence "act" only goes on for a minute or two, tops, but yeah, it's on the extreme side. It's what comes after that's the really bad part, I thought.

I'm a little torn between being revolted at the film and thinking every teenager should be forced to watch it-- these things really do happen.

I had Megan Is Missing recommended on a found footage horror chat and was absolutely not prepared for the extreme and lengthy sexual violence. I'd rather not have seen it. On the plus side, I know absolutely what to avoid in future if any film is compared to this.
