  Intro

Welcome to Kevin and Brian’s Horror Bulletin podcast recorded live in the catacombs beneath your feet, where each week, we cover the latest horror news, shorts, a classic Universal horror, and two creature-feature reviews. This week, after the news, we’ll cover the Universal Studios movie “Frankenstein” from 1931, the contemporary “Here Comes the Devil” from 2012, discussion of the short film, “Leaf Blower Massacre 1 and 2”, and the modern-horror film, “Ghost Stories” from 2017. This week, we’ll also have a bonus discussion of the independent film “Leaf Blower Massacre 2” from 2016. Turn up the volume and lean in close. Here we go...

News Features

  1. Proving that the Xenomorph Queen is their favorite Disney Princess, the entertainment empire has officially confirmed that they will be making more Alien movies after their acquisition of 20th Century Fox and the royalties to the franchise that they now own. It’s only a tease for now, but after an uncertain future when the transfer was taking place, we can be sure to see more acid blood splattering someday soon.

  1. Netflix has a very cool-looking movie showing beginning on April 10th call The Silence. “With the world under attack by deadly creatures who hunt by sound, a teen and her family seek refuge outside the city and encounter a mysterious cult.” Think Birdbox meets The Quiet Place with what looks like some of the best elements from both, gory, scary, and we get to see the creatures in the preview. 1. EW reports that a steelbox edition of Ghostbusters 1 & 2 is coming the summer of 2020 with an incredible amount of extra features, behind-the-scenes footage, clips, outtakes, and things never seen before. It looks to be a lot of fun, and a very thorough way to revisit the classic comedy horror movies.

  1. Hellboy will be blasting into US theaters on April 12th with a fresh installment of the demonic hero. It’s said this film will be relying heavily on practical special effects, and a little behind-the-scenes teaser has been released as well as an updated trailer. Check them both out for a little taste of the searing hellfire to come.

  1. If you want to get some thrills and chills while helping out a great cause, you can purchase a copy of the upcoming horror short-story collection “The Campfire Tales”. A group of writers in Northern California have banded together to put out the collection, with all proceeds going toward wildfire relief in the western communities hit at the end of 2018. The fires are out, but there’s still work to do. Advance praise from Jonathan Maberry, New York Times bestselling author of V-Wars and Glimpse says “Tales for the Camp Fire is a brilliant collection of truly creepy tales by horror’s hottest voices! Dark, funny, heartbreaking, and bizarre. Highly recommended!” It’s available May 2nd of this year, and can be pre-ordered right now.
